The HES 7000 solves preloaded door problems — HVAC stack pressure, warped doors, heavy weather stripping, anything that binds a standard strike and keeps it from releasing. The preload release handles up to 15 lbs of force (fail-secure). Dual-purpose design: cylindrical latchbolts up to 5/8" with the 791/792 faceplates, or rim exit devices up to 3/4" with the 783S/786S/789S. 1,500 lbs static on the cylindrical side, 1,000 lbs on the rim exit side. If you've ever gotten a callback because a strike won't release in winter when the building pressurizes, the 7000 fixes that. Not fire rated — the 7501 is for fire-rated preload applications. Dual voltage 12 or 24 VDC.
Includes latchbolt monitor for door position feedback to your access control system.
