BE-961-1 Detex Battery Eliminator Models
The Detex battery eliminator is designed to power security devices such as the Detex ECL-230D, ECL-600 battery powered series exit control locks, V40 alarmed rim exit device or EAX-500 exit alarms (the BE-961-2 will power the ECL-230 and ECL-600), without reliance on normal batteries. This unit can drive up to three ECL-230D's , three ECL-600's, three V40's, or three EA-500's. The wire run from the most remote unit to the BE-961 should not exceed 75 feet using 18 gauge stranded wire. Battery Eliminator may be installed on the wall adjacent to the protected door quickly and easily. Flexible armored cable connects the battery eliminator to the security device without interfering with the door use. And for extra security, the connecting cable may be concealed in the door using a third parties continuous electric hinge.
